J Roy is a talented artist from Detroit. Growing up in the Motor City, J uses his childhood hardships to charge his emotion driven, hard hitting music. J's uncommon style and lyrical flow has ignited a flame in the underground hip hop scene with his first project NOVAD gaining over 1 milliion streams on soundcloud. Upon breakout of that album , it earned him a slot on Netlfix's Rhythm & Flow under his previous name " JoeTheRapper". Since the show and rebrand, J Roy has been on a track to stardom.
